The greatest book ever written...
...tells us that to whom much is given, much will be expected. It is with that in mind that GenXRT was founded. Accordingly, our mission cannot be summed up in a single statement, no matter how articulate. Firstly, we believe that caring for people with cancer is one of the greatest privileges we could be given, and because of that,
we must provide care that is on par with the best of our capabilities, and indeed the best available in the region.
Our foundation is made up of Biblical principles like honesty, integrity, Christ-like compassion, and love. As fellow humans, we may not always succeed in displaying those characteristics, but our promise is that we will never stop trying to achieve such a corporate character, and we will always use Biblical truth as the standard for how we ought
act, both personally and corporately.
While our practice freely accepts people of all faiths without bias, we feel a unique desire to minister to the spiritual needs of fellow Christians, even as we focus on the physical process known as cancer. Ultimately, we believe that our efforts are hollow unless they are used by God to accomplish His will. It is because of that that our corporate motto is Soli Deo Gloria (abbreviated by the letters "SDG"). Translated, these words mean "Glory to God Alone." This is our recognition of the fact that healing comes not from human hands, but from the hand of the Almighty. We place ourselves in a position of humility and gratitude when He uses us to accomplish His will.
Cancer can bring people to an emotional place of desperation. Our belief is that through faith in Christ, cancer's "threat" is diminished. While anxiety, pain, and fear may still be very real, the comfort experienced by believers, because of their faith, is equally real. If you are a GenXRT patient, we encourage you to let us know how we can support you spiritually even as we look after your physical needs. If you have yet to experience the confidence and comfort of faith in Jesus Christ, please ask to speak with Dr. Jahraus about this, and he will be delighted to tell you more about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, offered freely to all.
